DESCRIPTION:Music Director Eckart Preu conducts the Spokane Symphony in a program of great music that transcends tragedy and sorrow on Saturday\, Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. and on Sunday\, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. at Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox. Karen Tanaka's Water of Life reflects on the 2011 tsunami in Japan\, Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique is a dream-like portrayal of unrequited love. Cellist Maja Bogdanovic performs Elgar's beloved Cello Concerto\, a poignant requiem to a world lost in the wake of World War I.
