SUMMARY:Annual NIC Jazz Concert Tribute to Tom Emerson
DESCRIPTION:The Associated Students of North Idaho College present the annual Jazz NIC concert\, an evening of jazz presented by the NIC Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Co. jazz choir in NIC's Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center. The event is free and open to the public. The NIC Jazz Ensemble will perform a special commissioned piece by Bukvich titled "Radio Blues" honoring the life of longtime Coeur d'Alene resident Tom Emerson. The jazz piece has a blues flavor and tributes Emerson's passion for music and his connection to New Orleans having worked there for a number of years. The public is also welcome to watch performances by the visiting middle and high school groups\, which will perform every hour on the hour beginning at 8 a.m. Jan. 30 through Feb. 1 in Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center.\n______________________________\nThis Event Downloaded From a Helios Calendar Powered Site
