DESCRIPTION:Occasionally landowners express interest in growing their own tree seedlings for reforestation. There are many possible reasons for this\, including: growing trees from seed collected from superior trees on their own property\; experimentation with seed sources from other locations\; growing seedlings for tree or shrub species which are not available for purchase\; growing seedling stock types that can be difficult to find\; or simply the satisfaction of having a direct hand in every part of the reforestation process.The University of Idaho Extension is offering a workshop titled "Growing Your Own Tree Seedlings" to give landowners and others interested in growing tree seedlings a primer on all of the critical steps to successfully grow tree seedlings for reforestation or similar purposes.
