Join us in welcoming Grammy-winning guitarist, Laurence Juber, to EWU for an artist-in-residence program on Friday, April 10! First internationally-recognized as lead guitarist in Paul McCartney's band Wings, Laurence Juber has since established himself as a world-renowned guitar virtuoso, composer and arranger. Juber has released 22 solo albums and been featured on the soundtracks to hundreds of TV shows such as Home Improvement, and movies including the academy award-winning Dirty Dancing, Good Will Hunting and Pocahontas. Special events for the residency:

Friday April 10, 2015: Campus meet-the-artist event, open to all students and to the public, Noon, Recital Hall

Q&A session addressing students from across campus on questions pertaining to the music industry; focused on topics such as writing for film and television, his award-winning video game music work, what it's like to work touring/writing at the level of Paul McCartney and Wings, etc. Open to the public

Guitar Clinic: 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Recital Hall

A clinic on arranging pop tunes for solo instrumental guitar, also open to anyone interested from the greater Spokane music community.

Concert: 7:30 pm. Recital Hall

A multi-genre concert event featuring Laurence's celebrated and award-winning solo acoustic guitar work for the first half, followed by Laurence in ensemble settings of his music, including a piece for select student string ensemble and guitar, faculty trio work, and the full EWU Concert Jazz Orchestra, featuring Laurence on electric guitar! $10 General Admission, $5 Non-EWU Students.
