This Week's Events in Coeur d'Alene and Surrounds
Footsteps: A Journey of Many
Walk in someone else's shoes during NIC's Footsteps: A Journey of Many exhibit, open to the public. Footsteps is an interactive exhibit that highlights issues of social injustice, both current and historic. After being escorted through each exhibit, groups will have a chance to discuss their reactions with a facilitator, and be offered resources to be involved with topics if they choose. Topics in the past have included animal welfare, poverty, social isolation and challenges faced by those living in third-world countries.
Groups will be led through the free exhibit every half hour from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and then from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged. Reservations and consent forms can be made online at www.nic.edu/footsteps.
"Footsteps: A Journey of Many" is designed for a mature, college-aged audience. High school students are welcome, but they should have permission from their parents if they are under the age of 18.
